Since getting in the deep end of grad school and through the beginning of my first job, my personal projects have gone by the wayside. I’m hoping this will be a forcing function both for creating new projects and actually finishing them out.
Towards the tail end of the pandemic, my friends and I dove deep into the World of Warcraft raiding community. Due to its uniquely data driven and performance-based environment, there are a surprising amount of parallels between the communities, social structures, and tools of raiders and my profession work in academic research. For the time-being content posted here will probably be centered around wow, with some miscellaneous technical topics leaking in from time to time.
